Possible UFO sighting in Cape Town?

I don’t know how many people saw the picture of an unidentified flying object that was taken in the South Eastern Siberian city of Chita, Russia a while ago, if you haven’t seen the article, click here to view the original article.

I’ve just taken a picture (with my crappy 3.2 Megapixel camera) of something resembling the same shape than the one taken in Russia, using a pair of binoculars, I can confirm that it looked similar in shape, have no idea what it is though. Anyone else seen the strange triangular, pyramid shaped object hovering around in mid air?

You know what the Siberian one looks like? An advanced version of the SR-71 [link]. That would be my first guess.

Since these things are meant to be long range, it could simply be a flight test. No need to invoke the aliens just yet.

Wow, its tiny but looks the same as the russian one.

Once in Worcester we were staring at the stars, all of a sudden they started moving. It was a group of 20 flying objects. So i didnt believe what I was seeing and I said its probably a shooting star, right then all of the remaining stars/objects moved in all directions. That was weird.

@Wogan: Wicked, I’m hoping it’s a military test flight, at least then I can go to sleep knowing that I didn’t see a UFO.

@evl: At least in Worcestor you can still see the stars, as soon as you go into the city, the stars become less visible. Back in the Cederberg mountains, you could literally see thousands of stars at the same time with shooting ones every now and then. The incident you’re describing was documented by US military and they were unable to identify the lights moving around. Might have been the same whatever it was.

    how long was it visible?

  5. Re@PeR says:

About 2 minutes during which it hovered left and right horizontally a couple of times (relative to the earth’s surface) and then stood still for a while after which it started dropping in altitude until it went out of sight due to buildings being in the way.

Really curious to find out what it was.

In Robertson, 50 km from Worcester towards Montagu, a UFO landed. If you have to believe the people it was like an earthquake 3 AM with all the beds moving to the ceiling and stuck to the ceiling for 5 minutes before they came down again. In turned out to be a James Bond boat which was launched into space somewhere in Lousiana, USA, during the shooting of ‘Live and let die’ (first one with Roger Moore as 007) and landed at a farm named Soekershof in Klaas Voogds West East of Robertson. It’s still there and if you don’t want to believe it: Soekershof is a nice day outing for Capetonians and the interactive explorations start at 11 AM precise. See their website for all details including admission fees and PRECISE road directions.
