ESP Experiment (Introduction)

I’ve been chosen as a labrat for an experimental new brain enhancement technology which claims to rapidly increase my ESP abilities over a period of 63 days.

ESP stands for “Extrasensory perception”

Extrasensory perception (ESP) (or extra-sensory perception) is the apparent ability to acquire information by paranormal means independent of any known physical senses or deduction from previous experience. The term was coined by Duke University researcher J. B. Rhine to denote psychic abilities such as telepathyprecognition, and clairvoyance. ESP is also sometimes casually referred to as a sixth sense, gut instinct, hunch, or intuition. The term implies sources of information currently unexplained by science.

Source: Wikipedia, also unexplained by science apparently.

What does the experiment consist of?

Using nutrition and Brain Entrainment we have theoretically developed a way for most human beings to exercise their brains and use them in order to develop Extrasensory Perception and even PK (Psychokinesis also known as Telekinesis). By eating in a certain (very healthy) way and by listening to these specially developed Binaural Beats for 63 days (divided in 3 stages of 21 days each) we are looking to increase your brain’s capacity to achieve ESP and whole brain synchronization. In doing so we are also looking at developing your brain’s working speed and capacity.

Looks like I’ll get to play with Zener cards again, yay! Zener cards were used in experimental ESP research in the early twentieth century to statistically determine whether a person is in fact psychic or only performing on par with what statistics predict the outcome would be  (such an experiment was done in the “documentary” Super High Me where they wanted to test whether smoking pod was beneficial to ESP abilities, with inconclusive results)

What is binaural beats and why is it being used?

Synchronized brain waves have long been associated with meditative and hypnogogic states, and audio with embedded binaural beats has the ability to induce and improve such states of consciousness. The reason for this is physiological. Each ear is “hardwired” to both hemispheres of the brain (Rosenzweig, 1961). Each hemisphere has its own olivary nucleus (sound- processing center) which receives signals from each ear. In keeping with this physiological structure, when a binaural beat is perceived there are actually two standing waves of equal amplitude and frequency present, one in each hemisphere. So, there are two separate standing waves entraining portions of each hemisphere to the same frequency. The binaural beats appear to contribute to the hemispheric synchronization evidenced in meditative and hypnogogic states of consciousness. Brain function is also enhanced through the increase of cross-collosal communication between the left and right hemispheres of the brain.

Actually binaural beats is nothing new, it was discovered in 1839 by Heinrich Wilhelm Dove, if you take a look at most of the study-aid CD’s, you’ll notice that they’ll be using some sort of binaural beat to shift your brain through various states, whether it’s Alpha, Beta, Delta, Theta or other newly discovered brain states.

I’m having a one hour interview via telephone with the lead psychologist and founder of the project (think I’ll keep him and his project anonymous for now) after which I’ll start to receive DVD’s with sets of experimental binaural beats and some guidelines on how to further cripple my diet and boost levels of nutritional intake.

If it doesn’t interfere with the experiment, I’ll use this blog to give feedback on a regular basis!

I can’t remember what it was, but in a movie people could only enter a club if they could accurately read a card like this that the bouncer held up. Cool idea…

That’s quite an awesome idea to filter out all the regular people, lol
